The Farm
The history of the Quinta begins in the 50's with the creation of a factory for the distillation of malvas for the production of essences.
In the 70's, when the factory was already deactivated, the farm was acquired by the current family who converted it, planting various varieties of table vines.
Around the year 2000, the second generation of the family chose to convert the 36 hectares of the existing crop into a citrus orchard, one of the traditional crops in the Algarve. Years later, already in the third generation, the family decided to create a hotel unit that opened to the public in 2013.
That's how Quinta dos Perfumes came about.
The Quinta has an excellent location, bordering to the north with the EN 125 and is located approximately 10 minutes walk from the villages of Conceição and Cabanas de Tavira, as well as from its paradisiacal island.
It is located next to three golf courses (Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima and Quinta de Benamor), bordering the eco-trail of the leeward and one of the Iberian pilgrimage routes of the Camino de Santiago.
A great way to get to know the Quinta is by using one of its bicycles to ride around the area. During this ride it is almost impossible not to come across hares, rabbits, partridges and other birds that live in the Quinta. If you are lucky you may also spot the fox and the eagles that circle the sky of the Quinta.
The Quinta has a secluded outdoor saltwater swimming pool in the middle of the orange grove where you can relax in the sun and have a drink at the end of the day.
From the Rooftop, you can lose sight of the orange grove until you find the sea on one side and the Algarve hills on the other. This space is ideal to enjoy the Quinta's bar service, read a book or simply relax.
The Quinta does not have restaurant service but it is possible to prepare light meals.
The reception is open from 8:00 to 24:00 and is always available to give support.
